This year for Christmas with the Andersen's, we ended up doing it a week after Christmas. Which was fine. I have always felt that it doesn't matter when you celebrate the season, it is more about just celebrating the reason for the season. Cheesy...I know.
They are always so great about accommodating us at their house. They had play dough, crayons and coloring books, wonderful food, great company, special gifts and a great football game on the television. You know...the one where the Vikings beat the Packers.
The boys were overjoyed with more gifts! They are spoiled rotten here, and I'm okay with that.
They always make a delicious feast and this year was no exception. The main items on the menu? Turducken. Yep. Anyone heard of it? It is turkey, duck and chicken. It was delicious. The boys were excited about their Shirley Temples too.
After dinner, we all headed downstairs to watch the "Big" game and play some games of our own. The boys were all decked out in their Vikings Zubaz.
Cassie just accomplished something amazing. She met her goal weight after less than a year! She looks amazing. She was starting to reincorporate some foods into her diet and was able to have a Christmas cookie. One from Great Grandma Andersen's recipes. It was such a big moment...we had to take a picture!
Yep...I captured every moment. I am so proud of her!
Merry Christmas!
