Halloween is definitely one of my top favorite holidays. Getting all dressed up to pretend to be a character that we love. I don't like it when the teens go through that creepy phase and instead of being something usually inspirational they choose gore and blood. I'm not a fan of that style of Halloween. But, my little guys are so full of fun and excitement right now, it is heart lifting.
I've thought about trying to make costumes for the boys like my mom did. But, I'm definitely not that creative! So, when we headed to the store to get costumes, Alex knew he wanted to be some type of superhero and quickly decided on Spiderman. He also chose Aiden's costume, a police officer. I wanted to be a family of superheroes, but lets face it... I'm not to spend 80 dollars on a costume I'm going to wear once and it probably won't look that good on me, especially around young children. So, I was an angel and Andy a Dracula.
The sun was really bright on the night of Halloween, so pictures look especially orange. I really need to learn (take a class) on how to use my camera.
When I asked them to act like their costume, the picture on the right is what I got.
When the police car was trolling our neighborhood during trick-or-treating, you better believe Aiden got some candy from him.
We only went up the block a ways in our neighborhood, but we hooked up with the neighbors for some fun trick-or-treating.
After trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, we headed over to my parent's house and did some with them and the Olsen's. The boys were pretty tired by this time and doing really well. They didn't even eat dinner until 8 o'clock! But, in all fairness, Alex was on a mission this year to get the candy and Aiden had a sucker.
Grandma even made the boys some fun outfits and treat bags. The black pants have a puffy painted spider web on them and Alex's shirt says "Trick" while Aiden's says "Treat". That Grandma is so creative!
Grandma made a delicious chili dinner. Once Aiden agreed to sit in his high chair, he loved the chili!
In Alex's treat bag from Grandpa and Grandma, he got a puzzle.
Happy Halloween everyone!
