For Father's Day this year we headed down to Waseca to celebrate with Andy's Dad Friday night. They were busy farming during the period of no rain, but it was fun to watch and see the farm in action. The boys were amazed with how big the tractor tires were!
Andy, Alex, Aiden, Kathy and myself took a truck ride (with no back seat) over to pick up some seeds. The boys loved it! Alex learned all about the 2-finger MN wave. I told him it meant "Peace-Brutha". So, of course, he repeated that.
On Saturday, Andy and I had a date night! We borrowed my parent's corvette and went down to the Stone Arch Bridge area. We ate at Tugg's Tavern (very good!) and walked around. The art festival was going on and I love to people watch more than anything so it was very entertaining! We then hopped back in the corvette for another ride and lost 10 dollars at Mystic.
The boys were not neglected when we went out either. They had a fun sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's and as a special bonus, Uncle Pete was there!
On Father's Day, Andy, Pete, Luke and my Dad went golfing at the Montgomery Golf Club. After picking up the boys from my mom's we headed out to get some supplies for Father's Day gifts. Of course it was another Pinterest idea! Jars, labels and their favorite candies = success!
We had dinner at my parent's house that evening with my family, Uncle Jeff & Aunty Reney, and Grandpa & Grandma. My Grandpa smoked Pete in 2 out of 3 games of cribbage so it was a good day. I love that smile...
It was yet again a great weekend...
Sounds like some very special memories were created!
