Now introducing...Joe Mauer. Oops! I mean Alex Guse! My big boy is all into baseball now and has already requested a baseball themed birthday party. I thought he would like it, but he loves it! We watch the Twins play and have gone to a game already this year, with plans in the works for another. He talks as if he is a Twins player and my favorite part is that he tells me, "Mom, say 'Go Joe Mauer' while I hit the ball". Or, "Mom, was that a good hit?" He is going to be competitive. He loves to play catch with Andy or me and we set up the bases in the yard for him to run around. I am a little nervous for TBall as he refuses to use the Tee. Usually we will pitch to him or he will just throw it up in the air and hit it. We need to practice with the tee some more.
On my last day of school and the boys' last day of daycare, we headed to a local park to meet some friends for a park playdate. It was a great way to start of summer. The boys were exhausted and excited to see some friends. Aiden loved the wheels on the car and climbing to the top slide to just stand there. He doesn't know how to climb in by himself yet. If you can't tell, he just woke up from a nap at this point. This summer will be so much more fun for him. He is walking, running, climbing and jumping and loves to explore.
We are very excited for the many play-dates we have lined up for this summer. For the relaxed schedules and easy conversations. I have three more days of work and the summer is ours... I am coming for you, summer!
