Since Alex was a baby, a month old to be exact, he has been in "school". We have taken classes through the local Early Childhood Family Education program. He has had the same teachers, in one of two classrooms, in the same building. He loves "school". He loves crafting, playing, being around others his age, singing, dancing, and exploring.
Next year, Alex will take the big jump from ECFE to preschool. Although I am happy for him and so incredibly proud of the little boy he is becoming, it makes me sad. Being a full time mom and a full time teacher, it is nice for me to have the opportunity to do something like this one-on-one with him, together.
We are together for the first part of the night and then the second part of the night is separation time. So, he gets to play in the room with the other kids and teachers and the adults go to the parent education room.
ECFE has been beneficial for all of us. On Alex's last night of class, they had a beach themed class to send them into summer. My little man loved it up!
During circle time tonight, Alex's teacher did a felt board activity for story time.
After play time and circle time, the kids get a snack and the parents head out for our education. Tonight they got to play with water balloons and at the park while we were gone.
Alex talks about his teachers all the time. We will certainly miss their presence in our little guy's life.
Here is Alex with a couple of his good buddies.

When we got home from "school" tonight, Alex wanted to see the pictures of him and his friends. So, I showed him the pictures. When he saw this next one, he asked me, "Mom, why is Jackson taller than I am? Will I grow like him?" So innocent.

Thank you, ECFE, our family has benefited so much from your classes and experiences. We look forward to continuing on with special classes and classes with Aiden.
