Our big day in Milwaukee. We were looking for something fun to do on Saturday morning and thought about the Zoo. My Uncle Jeff and Aunt Reney have given us a membership to the Zoo for Christmas for the past couple of years and it is the best gift. We use it all the time and the boys love the experiences they get there. We were in luck because our membership was covered in Milwaukee also and we got into the Milwaukee Zoo for free! I was looking forward to it, but the experience far exceeded my expectations. Milwaukee has an awesome zoo! They have more rides, different animals and a great layout.
One of Alex's favorite things to do is go to the Zoo, so he was completely pumped for this experience. Aiden loves animals and walking so he was too!
The family farm is nicely laid out. Not everyone is on top of each other trying to pet and see the animals. There were a lot of animals to ride such as the camels or ponies. You could also feed many of the animals like the goats.
Wherever there is a tractor, there is my Aiden.
Maybe a little scared? |
My little man was so exhausted, as soon as we went into a "dark" area (bats) he fell asleep. It was about half way through and he slept for the remainder of our time on the trip.
Although you can't tell from this next picture, Alex was very excited for the train ride. He saw it right away in the beginning of the zoo and asked about it. We bribed him with the "If you're a good boy..." speech. He was a good boy and we rode the train. It was really nice because we didn't get to see a lot of the animals before we had to leave and the train ride was a nice other option.
It was a great trip to the Zoo, we probably could have spent five more hours there looking at, discovering and learning about the animals. The boys had fun and were ready for our next adventure of the vacation weekend...
