Mom's Day

One of my favorite days of the year, Mother's Day.  Not only to celebrate my mother, and other maternal figures in my life, but also to get my chore chart accomplished.  Mother's Days like this year are the best.  The weather was absolutely perfect both days of the weekend.

Saturday I went to a crafting day at one of my friend's houses.  It was so much fun chatting and crafting.  Before I went, that morning Andy and Alex washed the car for me.  One of Alex's favorite things to do.  Here is a quick picture of Alex trying to spray Daddy.

While they were washing the car, Aiden and I took the tractor out for a ride and a quick mow.  My littlest man could be on that tractor all day long.  He just sits on it when it is sitting in the garage.

We had a quick morning snack of popcorn on the deck before starting to plant Mommy's Mother's Day present, flowers.

We made pots for our Grandmas.  Andy and the boys took one down to his mom's on Friday.  They got to spend the whole day with Grandma Guse.  Rides on the tractor, chasing butterflies, finding the bunnies, Gator rides and a trip to McDonald's for lunch.  My boys were exhausted.

On Sunday morning we planted the garden.  It was a full family experience, which gets me excited for the summer.  Gardening will be fun.

Aiden tried the dirt a few times.  But, it didn't taste too good to eat it for too long.

Daddy and his little ducklings watering the garden.

Okay, so Aiden didn't want to water the garden.  He watered himself.

We delivered flowers to Grandma Johnson.

We had a picnic lunch with Grandpa and Grandma Johnson, Uncle Luke and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Andersen.  It was gorgeous outside.

The boys even put their feet in the water, which Alex loved.  It was freezing and exciting at the same time!

I know it isn't the best picture, but Aiden loved this slide!

The best Mother's Day gift of all?  Being a mother to these two angels.  I love them to pieces.

Happy Mother's Day!

We split some of our plants and helped my mom plant them too.  Alex and Aiden loved their tractor rides.

Uncle Luke had come to our house to play for a few hours that day.  Aiden tripped on the ball and fell flat on his face.  His nose got bruised up quite a bit.  But, my little man loves his bubbles.

Happy Mother's Day!
