Summer goes by way too fast and I never get to do everything that I have on the list in my head. We are very last minute. I think that is the nature of the beast when you have young kids. We invited up Andy's parents for an impromptu BBQ and it just happened to be Lonsdale Community Days. Alex and Aiden love seeing their grandparents (as do we). We spent some time outside playing in the grass, looking at and getting some advice on the garden, and playing on the swing set.
Everyone loved the swing set.
Alex tried pushing Grandpa, but...
...preferred to be pushed instead.
We had fun looking at all the vegetables we were growing in the garden. Alex loves to show off his pumpkins. The longer we stayed out there, the more weeds Grandpa was picking. You will hear no complaining here.
Although the car cruise went right by our house, we walked up to the corner anyway. Okay, so we didn't know it was going to go right by our house. But, it was fun watching the old cars burn out on the corner. Grandpa really got a kick out of watching these cars. I think the boys liked it too, but Alex thought the noise was a little too loud.
We had a nummy dinner of brats, potatoes, jello, and corn. It was the most beautiful night we have had in a long time. Perfect weather, we couldn't have asked for a better night. Alex wanted to sit by himself at the kid's table...in the beginning. He made sure to tell me not to forget him when taking pictures.
How could I ever forget you, love?
We had a great time talking, laughing and catching up. A relaxing Friday evening. Grandpa and Alex got to wrestle a bit, and play their new "bulls" routine. But, not Ferdinand.
Grandma brought some cookies up that Alex and Aiden both enjoyed.

After a little snack, we put on the jammies and headed out for some sparklers and goodbyes. It was a great visit from Grandpa and Grandma!
Your boys are blessed with fantastic grandparents on both sides, for sure! (I love the santa pjs in August!)
