Summer Strawberries

I never really know what I am going to do with them or how to use them.  But, that question doesn't last long in my mind since it isn't valid.  It isn't valid because it doesn't matter.  Let there be strawberries!

A summer without picking strawberries would be no summer at all.  It is by far one of my favorite foods and activities.  But, recently it has changed into one of my favorite forms of entertainment as well.  I love to watch the boys pick them off the stem and contemplate, "Should I eat this"?  I never tell them No.  That would be foolish, we need to get our monies worth.

Alex was a lot more help this year.  He picked about the same amount of strawberries that I did and we left with 11 3/4 pounds of strawberries.  They were high quality too! Aiden enjoyed picking some too.  He also enjoyed running up and down the aisle with the flag.  In hindsight, probably not the safest idea, luckily nothing happened except these cute faces...

By the time we left their fingers, feet, mouths, and knees were all stained red.  No one seemed to mind though.  Aiden even fell asleep with a full tummy on the way back home.

Happy Summer!
