Alex is officially three. I cannot believe he is three. Everybody says how fast time goes, but I never believed it. Last night, I went in to retuck him in before I went to bed and was amazed at how tall and big he is looking. He is still my baby!
We had a big family party for him and he loved every minute of it. He has been asking all year, "Is it my birthday now, Mom?" Now it is, big man and it is bittersweet.
We love to make a big deal out of birthdays, after all, they are some of the most important days of the year for us. I can't imagine my life without my boys (all three of them). They bring me constant joy and love. We make food, decorate, plan an activity and set up tables.
The invitations for this special birthday were of the construction theme, since Alex is all about anything with four wheels and that is rough and tough.
It is probably overkill, but I love to make my boys feel so special on their special day. Andy made a turkey...

So, like I said, we had a construction theme for Alex's birthday. He is all about trucks, bulldozers and dump trucks...
Grandma Guse has made all of Alex's cakes since he was one. She does such a wonderful job of making them so unique and special.
To add a little excitement, Alex picked out a pinata this year. And, he loved it to say the least. His cousins joined in the fun too, but nobody went at it like Alex. His eyes were on the prize...
My littlest man loves his Aunty Abby. He fell asleep on her shoulder while we were opening presents. Pretty soon, little man, it will be your day.
Alex was a little overwhelmed with all the food, decorations, presents and people. He loves to entertain and that is for sure what he did while opening gifts and announcing his "THANK YOU".
Opening presents was so much more fun for Alex this year...
Alex and his cousins. What would we do without cousins?
Cake and please take note that Alex ate ALL of the frosting and NONE of the cake!
After much thought and deliberation, Andy and I decided he was ready for his first bike. It is the perfect size. Now we need to work on the pedaling. Our summer project. Meanwhile, we will play in the garage.
Aiden loved his ice cream from his Godmother, Cassie. He melts my heart.
Alex made out on this birthday. You will be happy to know, we played with ALL of the toys on his actual birthday.
Happy Birthday, Alex!
