Andy and Pete did it. They both graduated from College. Andy graduated from Metropolitan State University with a degree in Accounting to add to his previous Business Administration degree. He will be continuing to work for the bank as an accountant. He will be starting the journey to his CPA on February 28th. Pete graduated from Mankato State this December with a degree in Construction Management. He just started his first job and it sounds like he is loving it. Exactly what he wanted to do with a lot of travel. We are going to miss him more than I can say in words. He chose to walk in his graduation ceremony and it was a really proud moment for the entire family.
As proud as we were of Uncle Pete, the ceremony was a little long. We took a break to stretch and see the grounds.
One of the things I love about both my brothers are that they have distinct personalities. Pete is the talker and I was so proud of him for living up to this during his graduation ceremony...
Not the greatest picture, but he was excited and I loved this look...
Pete and the Parents after the graduation
I now have my very own family with Andy and the boys. Another thought that warms my heart is that I know I will always have my brothers (and parents, of course). They have known me the longest and love me for me. The love goes both ways. I couldn't ask for better brothers and friends.
I am so incredibly proud of my husband. He has worked his butt off to go back to school and get another degree. It was not easy for him to give that much time and effort. It was a lot of work and hard to go back and work full time.
All of the boys (Aiden sleeping)...
Congratulations, Boys!
At the lunch celebration, Alex's uncles taught him how to tap the bottom of his chocolate milk mug to get the very last drop out. I am so proud.
My cousin Grace is one of the best babysitters a family could ask for! She is also one of the best cousins. She is so sweet, genuinely nice and as they say "has a good head on her shoulders". I can't believe how grown up she is becoming. I loved my days of babysitting her (and her brother), and love that it is coming full circle.
Aiden loves his GAL (Great Aunty Lori) so much that he fell asleep on her!
I don't think Alex could have better Uncles. Playing puzzles is something my big boy loves to do a lot of lately.
Pete and some of his college besties that made it up for his graduation party.
Everyone had a great time at the party for Andy and Pete's graduations.
It was so nice of Aunty Reney and Uncle Jeff to think of Andy on his graduation. They got him (what he would consider to be) the best gift ever. A beer making kit. He hasn't stopped making it since he got it. Who needs to buy beer anymore?
Giving Grandpa Johnson kisses.
Aiden couldn't get enough of Robbie. He was so sweet to walk around with Aiden and play with him almost all night.
Back to the days of Tippy Cup. I am definitely too old for this. This is the point in the night when I left with my kids. Luke loves giving Alex a hard time and Alex loves giving Luke a hard time. Kisses anyone?
