Our Little Family Christmas

Each year gets more and more exciting with little ones and holidays.  This year was no exception.  As always, on the night before Christmas Eve the four of us hopped in the car to go and see the lights.  We drove all around and Alex kept finding more lights for us to see.  On the way home, we saw a red light way up in the sky.  Alex exclaimed that it must be Rudolph!  We had to hurry home so we would get there and to sleep before Santa, Rudolph and the other reindeer arrived at our home, since they come on Christmas Eve Eve for us.  Aiden slept from almost the entire time we were driving around.  My little content man.

I know it is far from the best picture I have ever taken, but Alex made some reindeer food at ECFE.  He had to go and blow it around the yard so Rudolph could find his way to our house.

Alex picked out the cookies Santa would like the best.  We had to buy chocolate milk because that is what Santa would want.  We topped the plate with a carrot for Rudolph to share with the other reindeer.

I haven't seen him go to bed so fast...

Andy and I took some time that night to read some Christmas cards from friends and family and then watched our favorite Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life.

Christmas morning was so exciting for Alex.  Aiden loved watching his brother in his excitement.

Aiden's favorite new toy...a cup from the dollar bin at Target.

I hope I will always get this time with my boys.  There is nothing like seeing the excitement on their faces in the morning when they are thinking of this magical person, coming from this magical place to deliver magical gifts.
