We spent all of the drizzly day at the fair and had a blast, so why not go back that night? We picked up Andy and the Hoppe's and came back to the fair. You know it's going to be a great night when...you find free and close parking! Mommy even parallel parked. Who knew I would ever need to really know how to do that?
We headed over to check out the new home brewed part of the Home and Garden building. The daddy's each got a flight of beer and we were off to explore the rest of the fair.
My first time getting corn at the fair and I really liked it...So did Aiden! Some of the other food favorites were french fries, pronto pups, ice cream and Martha's cookies.
We stopped in the FSN booth and found some recliners to relax in while we waited for the little rain that came to pass. No one complained about this.
We didn't make it to Machinery Hill until the end of the night. Which might have been okay because the boys could freely climb all over the tractors. After all, tractors are my boys' favorite things.
Alex went on some rides with his riding buddy, Eva. The first ride may have been a little too fast for him. But, he didn't cry and seemed to enjoy himself. He kept pulling Eva all around and asking her to go on more and more rides.
I didn't even realize his shoe was missing until someone from another ride brought it back to me. Oh well... Thanks goodness for nice people in Minnesota.
We stopped to talk to Sam's parents for a while and the girls (Emily and another random girl from behind us) were both by Aiden talking and laughing with him.
The highlight of the trip to the fair, the big bouncing thing. Haha...I don't know what it is really called. Aiden was a little scared, but he wanted to do it. In the end, they both loved it and we even got a thumbs up from Alex while mid-air.
A long, fun day at the great MN get together. A definite must for us, but we are now good until next year.
