Preschool Here We Come and Where's Dora?!

This fall marked the first year of preschool for little Mr. Alex.  At school that night the teacher asked how excited he was on a scale of 1-10.  And, like I told her, he was probably an 8 or 9.  He was very excited to go to "school", but wanted to ride the bus.
I found a little thing to give his teachers off of Pinterest.  Alex was sooo excited to give the apples to his teachers and couldn't hardly wait until the end of class, but he did.

He has preschool on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 at a local Elementary school.  He calls it the "big" school.  It will be a rush to get there and isn't the ideal preschool situation, but we are excited for him to have some experience without mom or dad in the school setting.

Parents go with on the first night of class for the month.  When we got there, we found Alex's locker and put his stuff away in it.

We dropped off his school supplies and went on into his new classroom.  We played, drew a picture of Alex (which he added earrings too), read books and sang songs together.
The parents then left from some time with Ms. Mary and the kids got to stay and learn from Ms. Britt in the other room.
Although Alex was very excited, I could tell he was a little nervous too.  His face showed excitement when he saw a familiar face.  Abby is in his class, too!

Although this is an official preschool class, Alex still has the same teachers that he had in ECFE and the format is very similar.  It doesn't bother me.  Alex loved his school when he was in ECFE and it is a reason he is the way he is today.  For that, I am thankful.  We are excited for this new journey for him.  Aiden will take ECFE classes on Thursday nights this year and I am thankful to be able to have that time with him.
We do have a little bit of ECFE at home with us this week as Dora is having a sleepover at our house!  We love having her here and have to go out and say "Hi" to her at least once a day.  Stop on by and say hi to Dora..there are also ECFE brochures inside the box too.

Here's to a great 2012-2013 school year!
